JOB SUMMARY:

1)    Responsible for accepting, checking-in, and stocking deliveries, rotating inventory stock, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of storage rooms and refrigeration/freezer units.

2)    Responsible for on-boarding the dishwashing staff, introducing them to their duties, explaining the dishwashing machine, how it works, and it's maintenance and cleaning procedures.  Dishwashers will check in and out with the Steward (or Chef/Sous Chef in the steward's absence).

3)    Introduce and instruct all kitchen staff on the various chemicals, their safe use and accident procedures. Be sure staff understands the proper procedures for maintaining the cleanliness of dishwashing and food preparation areas of kitchen as well as the process of learning to put all things away in their proper place.

4)    Responsible for trash removal and recycling efforts, including the maintenance and upkeep of trash removal areas.

5)    Work with the Chef and Sous Chefs in an ongoing way to establish standards of operating that are understandable and attainable as well as flexible to the dynamic nature of the operation, using all tools available, lists, charts, visual aids, etc., and in particular, imagination.

Past Cabin Stewards favorite part of the job is being able to be outside all day enjoying interacting with guests and working under the pines along the shores of beautiful Sebago Lake. • Handle and communicate guest requests, special needs, guest room or public space maintenance issues and guest complaints in a professional manner.
• Label and submit all lost and found items according to property procedures.
• Understand personal sanitation, the use of personal protective equipment and how to handle unsanitary linens, bodily fluids, etc. Be aware of ways to prevent personal injury from improper reaching, lifting, stretching and carrying.
• Know who to notify in case of broken equipment or unsafe/unsanitary conditions.
• Manually handle/lift/carry product up to 60 pounds between knee and shoulders.
• Must have bilateral fine manipulation of both hands which may be repetitive for entire shift.
• Must be vertically mobile working in limited space for entire shift.
• Protect the assets of this property and Migis Hotel Group.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and written, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to work as a part of a team.
• Ability to understand verbal directions, labels on chemicals, and other workplace safety signage.
• Active listening and observation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with deadlines, and stressful situations during busy periods.

Location: Migis Lodge on Sebago Lake, Casco, ME
Hours: Full-time Seasonal; typical shifts run 6:30am to 2:30pm or 10am to 6pm
Compensation: $16 to $17 an hour + 7% of wages incentive payment. 
Seasonal Position: June through August (or October if you are available) 2026

Position Summary:

Contribute to the overall success of Migis Lodge by attending to the waterfront, lawns, and other grounds and amenities under the supervision and coordination of the Head of Maintenance.

Position Responsibilities:

• Maintain a clean, well-groomed waterfront ensuring the upkeep of watercraft, recreational equipment, lawn furniture, and other associated amenities
• Communicate any maintenance or operational issues regarding waterfront, lawn furniture, or other amenities clearly and concisely to the Head of maintenance
• Ensure all lawns and grass areas are properly manicured in a timely manner as to present the least amount of disruption to guest use as possible
• Responsible for the condition and periodic maintenance of all tools and equipment used in maintaining waterfront and all grounds
• Attend to other maintenance issues and projects as directed by the Head of Maintenance
• Ensure safe use of grounds-keeping equipment by using all required safety equipment and protective clothing
